Labor & Human Rights training module
The objective of this Labor and Human Rights training module is to educate CACTUS Communications Group employees about the importance of human rights in the workplace and the company's commitment to upholding these principles. It aims to familiarize participants with CACTUS's Human Rights Policy and its core principles, covering topics such as prevention of child labor, fair employment practices, non-discrimination, anti-harassment, fair remuneration, appropriate working hours, freedom of association, health and safety, community engagement, anti-bribery, data privacy, and employee representation. The module seeks to empower employees to identify potential human rights violations, understand their responsibilities in upholding these rights, and know how to report concerns. Ultimately, it strives to foster a work environment that respects and protects the human rights of all associates, aligning individual behaviors with CACTUS's ethical standards and legal obligations.
Waste Management in the Office (Strategies for Sustainability)
The objective of this Waste Management training module is to educate Cactizens about sustainable waste management practices in the office environment. It aims to familiarize Cactizens with the company's Waste Management Policy, the benefits of proper waste management, and the responsibilities of Cactizens in implementing these practices. The module seeks to provide guidance on conducting waste audits, implementing waste reduction plans, promoting waste segregation and recycling, and managing specific waste types such as e-waste, batteries, single-use plastics, food waste, and biomedical waste. By covering the waste management hierarchy, practical strategies, and industry best practices, the training strives to empower employees to contribute actively to CACTUS's sustainability goals, reduce environmental impact, and foster a culture of responsible waste management in the workplace.
Health and Safety training module
By the end of the Health and Safety in the Office module, Cactizens will understand CACTUS's Health and Safety Policy and its commitments, and recognize the importance of maintaining a safe work environment. They will learn about their responsibilities in this regard and understand the role of the Health and Safety Committee. Participants will be able to identify common office hazards and the methods to mitigate them, grasp the risk management process, and apply ergonomics best practices. They will also learn strategies to prevent slips, trips, and falls, practice electrical and fire safety, and use proper manual handling techniques. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of record-keeping, ongoing training, and contributing to a culture of safety at CACTUS.
